The YP group recently had a unique opportunity to join forces with a wide range of groups such as the City and County of Honolulu, Rotary Club, and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam to maintain the natural beauty of the Pearl Harbor Bike path which spans all the way from Waipahu to Aiea.

The areas bordering the bike path are known illegal dumping sites which in years prior was a much larger problem. Thankfully by keeping the area clean through efforts like this, illegal dumping has decreased from before. Maybe a guilty conscience speaks louder when the area doesn’t look like a dump. All in all, we were able to collect about 35 pounds of trash, enjoyed an ocean front view, and connected with our fellow peers and community.
