CONFERENCE – February 3rd & 4th

PRE-CONFERENCE – February 2nd
The pre-conference will take place on Tuesday, February 2nd at the Hawaii Convention Center. Workshops will run tentatively from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and lunch will be provided. Each year the success of the conference depends on the generous donations of individuals, firms, and companies. Donation levels ranging from iron ($300) to Platinum ($2000) are available. Calling all shutterbugs!
- “Age is only a number” – photos depicting water and wastewater infrastructure more then 35 years old
- “Aquamen and Aquawomen” – photos depicting people interacting with water and/or wastewater – construction, maintenance, laboratory, other.
Entries will be displayed during the conference along with the photographer’s description provided on the entry form. The description should provide the photographer’s perspective on how the photo meets the category theme.

GROUPS: All are welcomed. If you don’t have a full group of four, we’ll pair you up with some new friends!
HANDICAP: Tournament scoring will accept individual handicaps up to 30; a mean average for the team is developed;
the average handicap is weighted at 15% and applied to the final score.
MULLIGANS: $10 for two (limit of two mulligans per side, per player)
19TH PUKA: Prizes will be awarded at the banquet upon completion of play (For Contests, please see Attached).

The Hawai‘i Section of the American Water Works Association and the Hawai‘i Water Environment Association are proud to announce the third annual joint conference now known as the Pacific Water Conference at the Hawai‘i Convention Center from February 2 – 4, 2016. Our joint conference committee is hard at work to bring you an exciting, fun, and educational conference.
The Conference officially opens on Wednesday, February 3 and lasts through Thursday, February 4. Join us in the Convention Center Exhibit Hall to cheer on this year’s operator competitions featuring HWEA’s Operations Challenge and AWWA’s Pipe Tapping and Top Ops events. Remember to check out the exhibitors showcasing the newest and latest products in the industry. With up to 6 technical session tracks to choose from, there’s sure to be one that piques your interest. The conference golf tournament will be held on Friday, February 5 at the Hawai‘i Prince Golf Course, and the community service event will take place on Saturday, February 6.
